Alumni
contributions to academics: The role of intercollegiate sports and NCAA
sanctions.
Abstract:
In this article, the authors are concerned with the correlation between athletic team performance and alumni contribution. The main question they ask is whether athletic success at a school affects not only donations to athletic programs but alumni donations as a whole to the school. The authors conclude that indeed, athletic success and alumni contributions do seem to be positively related. For extended abstract and author sources click here.
